SILENCE

Silence is a French feature film directed by Patrick Attali starring Moussa Maaskri, Juliette Perez, Ninon Le Henry and Vadim Léger.

Sarah, a funny and shy fifteen years old girl, sees her world turned upside down when “sexy” photos taken naively with her best friend Chloé are leaked at school. At the center of it all is Charles, a charismatic and cruel ringleader who rules the class with an iron fist. He makes Sarah his scapegoat and begins to harass her on a daily basis. Witnessing this invisible escalation, the professor Favin perceives what others refuse to see: the isolation, the shame, and the potential for things to spiral out of control.

The post-production of Silence was handled by Philartmedia Studio, which I was part of. I worked as a Film Music Editor alongside James Cruzalegui for that film.

The role of a film music editor is to implement, edit and sync the music with the action unforlding on screen. For Silence specifically, the three composers (Dorian Bonnardel, Thérence Guillerme and Victor Basier) composed the music based on a script, which means that I had the freedom to edit the tracks as much as I wanted and choose where to place certain pieces of music if I felt like one fit better than another.

I also kept track of every modification made to the music, made propositions for alternatives in case the music does not fit a scene at all or if a scene lacks or does not need music.

Silence will be out in French theathers on November 5, 2026.
